There are many times when life on life’s terms means we have to defer our work on our art because we can’t find time. Or do we? Is it possible to live in the creative spirit and still handle the things our busy lives throw at us?
The tools we have available make it possible to stay in touch with our dreams and make some progress whenever we can.
I find myself making little phone app recordings when I have an idea. I’ve even called myself to sing a melody or groove idea into a message so I can pull it into my recording studio later. I always feel better when I remember that if I want to make fun music happen I need to take action!
Taking five minutes to call a songwriter partner to schedule a recording session or rehearsal is far more satisfying than wondering when I’ll get around to it.
Let’s all give ourselves permission to stay positive about our art, follow our inspiration and take action when we can!
